Welcome to this new blog on SharePoint in Education at the start of 2009. I hope to bring you insight in to the work going on at Twynham School as well as the latest developments in the UK Education scene and across the globe. The blog will focus primarily on SharePoint  (MOSS 2007 ) and our developments at Twynham. At the same time I would like to share  our experiences on meeting other schools and educational establishments whether on SharePoint or any other Learning Platform.

Time to meet the Twynham Team

From left to right are Sylvia Haghighi (Network Technician), Dan Rolles (Network Assistant Manager), Chris Mckinley (SharePoint and SQL Lead Developer), Darren White (SharePoint and SQL Developer) and Dave Coleman (Network Manager and ICT Consultant). At the far end is myself, Mike Herrity. I line manage the team as Assistant Headteacher e-learning.

The systems team above all work at Twynham School in Christchurch, Dorset. We are an 11-18 Comprehensive School which has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted for the last three inspections over a decade. As well as outstanding learning the team has produced some of the most excellent practice in using a Learning Environment to support students, teachers, parents and the whole of our community.
