SharePoint CPD tailored for Education

Continuing on the training and CPD theme, have you ever wanted to go to a SharePoint conference but felt it might be a waste of time because it had no or limited focus on education? This is a constant issue with many large SharePoint conferences being largely business focused and giving some value but at a real cost. Well fear not because there is an excellent one day conference in the UK in the near future and its all about education and the use of Microsoft’s Learning Gateway!

Our good friends Alex Pearce (MVP and Learning Gateway and ICT Manager at Great Barr School) and Richard Willis (Managing Director SalamanderSoft) have teamed up to put on a one day conference focusing on the Microsoft Learning Gateway. This promises to be an excellent CPD opportunity for teachers involved in the use, development or strategic planning of SharePoint. A whole host of speakers from Microsoft to school based professionals and those working in industry will provide a great mix of sessions to go to- check out the speakers here. I will be presenting a session on ‘Driving User Adoption and Parental Engagement which will hopefully be useful to many as it is a big Government agenda at the moment. The conference runs on the last Wednesday of this term so check out the agenda and get booked in.
