It has been over a week since my last post and the very busy time of the year for teachers has begun with coursework submissions and the start of the heavy exam season. This has been one reason for my lack of posting since the summer half term began. The other reason is that you have clearly had a lot to read from our SharePoint Best Practices Posts so I thought I would allow an ‘operational pause’ in proceedings while everyone took stock. In fact we have enjoyed huge numbers of people reading the blog in the last 10 days when I have not been blogging so maybe not writing is the future of blogging. Normal service will now be resumed however and I am to write 3-4 posts a week running in to the summer break.
So to the serious stuff. We have decided to write a blog post this week for those of you with your own SharePoint who are going to install Service Pack 2 in the near future. This is due to be released today and we thought it might be useful if people had a guide based on a school deployment before they install themselves. We also would like to drill into some of the new features and improvements to SharePoint and will follow this up in the next few posts. If you are awaiting details of the Service Pack then you can find them here when they become available. Look out for our blog later today or tomorrow morning with some thoughts.
