Over the last two weeks I have blogged about major opportunities for CPD and training with SharePoint. In October the SharePoint Conference 2009 runs in Las Vegas. For those who don’t fancy a trip to sin city or can imagine the look on their Headteachers face when they try to justify it you can always look to get to the SharePoint Best Practices Conference in London in early April. Of course these are great opportunities to get some major input on SharePoint on an annual basis but what about day to day?
Have you tried the SharePoint User Group UK? Nick Swann and Steve Smith have been building an impressive set up on the site and now have 4,000 members. The site has a number of blogs and a well used forum which shows a strong community forming. Beyond this they also have regular meetings around the country which Alex Pearce tells me are well attended and very useful. The next two meetings are in Birmingham this Tuesday (sign up here) and London on 26th February (sign up here). It is half term this week and I am just going off to Cambridge so I cant make the Birmingham meeting but I hope to go up to the London event. I will hopefully see you there.
